Eucharistic Ministers are men and women who are willing to assist the priest and serve the community of their brothers and sisters at the sacred liturgy on Sundays by distributing holy communion. Eucharistic Ministers are also needed to help take communion to Doctor's Regional Hospital on Saturdays and Sundays and to the sick and shut-ins on Sunday mornings.
Ministers must be at least seniors in high school. They must be regular in their attendance at Sunday Mass and living in harmony with the teachings of the Catholic faith. They must have a belief and devotion to the real presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. After a simple training session and commissioning, Ministers will serve on a monthly basis at their preferred Mass time.
